PS-3300: Another Computer Music 10 out of 10!

In the wake of Korg's surprise announcement of a reissue of the PS-3300 hardware synthesizer later this year, Cherry Audio received its eighth 10/10 rating from Computer Music for their PS-3300 virtual instrument, and awarded it the Editor's Choice and the Value Awards in the March issue, on newsstands now.

Cherry Audio's PS-3300 is a collaboration with the Electronic Music Education and Preservation Project (EMEAPP) to create an exactingly faithful emulation of Korg's legendary semi-modular analog polyphonic synthesizer released in 1977. PS-3300 was also recently given a 10 out of 10 rating and an Excellence Award from MusicTech.

This rating follows Computer Music's 10/10 reviews of GX-80 -- hailed as "the most impressive visual and sonic spectacle available in software" -- in December, 2022, and the 10 out of 10 ratings for Harmonia (January 2024), Octave Cat (November 2023), Mercury-6 (May 2023), Elka-X (November 2022), Sines (December 2022), and Miniverse (September 2022).
