JUPITER-8 x MERCURY-8 - Factory Presets Compared A/B

Cherry Audio's CTO, Dan Goldstein, conducts an A/B demonstration comparing several of the original factory presets of his calibrated Jupiter-8 with those same presets on our latest virtual instrument, Mercury-8.

With Mercury-8, every aspect of the original hardware has been carefully modeled to capture the sound and behavior that made the JP-8 so legendary. It not only captures the distinctive essence of a JP-8 but can even exchange SysEx data with MIDI-modified hardware.

Mercury-8 features over 600 presets that encompass both classic and modern sounds. It includes accurate recreations of the 64 original factory patches from the Jupiter-8. Additionally, we've provided enhanced versions of these presets in the "Factory Plus" category, which utilize Mercury-8’s expanded features while maintaining the distinctive Jupiter character. We've also included the eight original factory "Setups" -- the classic Dual and Split configurations -- so you can play them exactly as they were on the vintage hardware.
