Katsunori Ujiie of Music Track JP demos and reviews Cherry Audio’s Novachord + Solovox in his latest video (in Japanese, with auto-subtitles), and pairs them up together. Thank you, Ujiie-san!
"Cherry Audio's Novachord (+Solovox) has a nostalgic sound that is super beautiful. It is the world's first subtractive synthesis polyphonic synthesizer from the 1930s and 1940s. I have actually seen one in person at the Roland Museum in Hamamatsu, but this was my first experience with this sound.
It is said to be a product of the silent film era, when it was played and orchestrated in real time. It's very fresh to hear it now."
