"Laser Years Ago" is an outstanding tribute to Jean-Michel Jarre and his team, by Pierre-Yves Bessuand of Studio X+1, featuring Elka-X (with his own Synthex Laser Harp preset) and other Cherry Audio synths.
"I produced this instrumental track to show off the ability of the Elka-X plug-in form Cherry Audio to reproduce the famous Laser Harp sound used by Jean-Michel Jarre on the original Elka Synthex. I cooked this sound myself to be as near a possible of the real thing because I found that no other factory or user presets achieved to do the trick. All instruments in the track are coming from Cherry Audio (Elka-X, GX-80, Memorymode, Mercury-4 and MG-1 Plus) except the drums using Arturia Spark 2.The track is also a demo for the Cherry Audio products and a remembrance of the giant concerts of electronic music done by Jean-Michel Jarre and his team with Michel Geiss, Francis Rimbert and Dominique Perrier."
