Polydata's Sound Bank ‘79 collections are inspired by the distinctive sounds of documentary and library music from the late 70s and early 80s. His latest collection (above) is for Dreamsynth:

"Drawing from the earliest days of polyphonic synthesizers, Sound Bank ‘79 for Dreamsynth finds its inspiration in the synthesizer music found in documentaries and library music from the late 70’s and early 80’s. A bank comprising 30 patches for instant inspiration. The goal was to squeeze as much rich vintage tone out of this plug-in as possible, primarily working within the constraints of classic analog poly synth. Cherry Audio have done a great job of combining the raw tone of a vintage synth with a wider palette of sonic possibility. Sound Bank '79 is a series of vintage tones for different synths and plug-ins, so check out the catalog of releases for various synths and plug-ins. Recorded completely dry with no external effects or processing."

Also available from Polydata:

Sound Bank '79 for Octave Cat: "A bank comprised of 30 patches for instant inspiration. The goal was to highlight the raw analog tone and organic behavior of this instrument, primarily working within the constraints of the original Octave Cat, adding polyphony where it enhanced the patch. To ensure the greatest authenticity, Cherry Audio collaborated with the original designer and Octave Electronics founder, Carmine Bonanno to bring this unique and authentic sounding plug-in to life."

Sound Bank '79 for Mercury-4: "A bank comprising 30 patches for instant inspiration. The goal was to squeeze as much vintage analog juice out of this plug-in as possible, primarily working within the constraints of the original Roland Jupiter-4 analog poly synth. I honestly never payed much attention to the Jupiter-4, but this plug-in sounds insanely good, it's one of my favorites now. And the included Roland Space Echo emulation sounds superb."

Sound Bank '79 for Memorymode: "A bank comprising 40 patches for instant inspiration. The goal was to squeeze as much vintage analog juice out of this plug-in as possible, primarily working within the constraints of the original Moog Memorymoog analog poly synth. There's a unique richness to the sound of a Memorymoog, along with it's expanded feature set, and Cherry Audio have definitely captured that."

Circuit '76 for Polymode: "A bank of 30 patches for instant inspiration and vibe. It has all the thick tonal character of the original with some very thoughtful workflow enhancements. What I love about this instrument is that it gets you to think in a different way and come up with different ideas. It doesn't respond to your playing like a typical poly synth would, and programming it requires different approaches, so you end up thinking outside the box and building fresh ideas."

Sound Bank '79 for Mercury-6: "A bank comprising 30 patches for instant inspiration. The goal was to squeeze as much vintage analog juice out of this plug-in as possible, primarily working within the constraints of the original Roland Jupiter-6 analog poly synth. This plug-in sounds awesome and brings the classic Roland sound and user interface that we all love."

Sound Bank '79 for Elka-X: "A bank comprising 30 patches for instant inspiration. The goal was to squeeze as much vintage analog juice out of this plug-in as possible, primarily working within the constraints of the original Elka Synthex analog poly synth. While designing this bank, there's one word that kept coming to mind: lush. There's a beautiful smooth and rich tone to this instrument, and paired with it's unique set of features, it's hard to beat."
