Voltage Modular developer Request For Music has created a series of tutorial and demo videos for XINGSHI, a frame-based FM/PM oscillator module. A playlist of the dozen videos is available on YouTube.
XINGSHI is a 'frame-based' FM/PM oscillator, or actually a full synth-voice or multi-purpose module, having sound shaping tools, envelope and effect on board. It offers up to 99 frames that can have independent settings for pitch, pan, morphing and/or modulation for 2 sinewave carriers and one sinewave modulator and a noise modulator.
Basically it will run through all set frames in a loop. If switched from CNT to RST, the frame-loop will reset on GATE IN. The Envelope is standard A,D,S,R (to 30000 ms for A,D and R) If the GATE OUT is connected to GATE IN, ADSR can be used for every frame, actually changing the module to sort of a sequencer. Quite a flexible one, since every frame Carrier has a time setting from 1/64th up to 8 bars.
The module also integrates the R Ware port of AIRWINDOWS Galactic as implemented in their AW_Universe module.
