Craig Anderton's Upcoming Bob Moog Foundation Masterclasses

Technologist, author, musician, and Cherry Audio friend Craig Anderton is presenting two masterclasses in conjunction with the Bob Moog Foundation. Craig is a key figure in the music industry, known for his chart-topping productions and tours, including a performance at Carnegie Hall. He has written over 50 books and more than 1,000 articles for publications like Sound on Sound and Guitar Player. As co-founder of Electronic Musician magazine, he launched a rich media website for musicians on AOL in 1995 and has consulted for companies like Steinberg, Ableton, Roland, and Gibson.
The two masterclasses are:
“How to Mix for Maximum Emotional Impact” will be presented at UNC-Asheville in the Laurel Forum room on Wednesday, March 19th, from 7 pm to 9 pm. This provocative masterclass goes beyond improving sound quality, by presenting tips and techniques that enhance the soul of a mix — and captivate the listener’s heart. The event is open to students and the public and is free of charge.
“Synthesizer and Sampler Secrets: A Moogseum Masterclass” will be presented at the Moogseum in downtown Asheville on Saturday, March 22nd, from 10 am to noon. This masterclass delivers insider tips and techniques on programming, recording, and mixing with synthesizers and samplers. From how to add warmth to virtual instruments, to integrating synths and samplers in productions, to controversial topics like oversampling, this fascinating exploration of today’s instruments is essential for modern musicians and producers. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased through the Moogseum's Eventbrite page.
