Celebrating 100 Years of Alan R. Pearlman

In celebration of the life and work of visionary synth pioneer Alan R. Pearlman, the Alan R. Pearlman Foundation will host an exclusive opening of the ARP@100 exhibition on the 100th anniversary of his birth, Saturday, June 7th. This fundraising event will take place at the Electronic Music Education and Preservation Project (EMEAPP) in their new Museum of Music Technology, showcasing the groundbreaking achievements of Pearlman and his legendary ARP Synthesizers.

The gala evening is planned to include an impressive collection of ARP synthesizers, live performances, video segments, and a live interview with his daughter, Dina Pearlman-Ifil, who is also the Executive Director of the ARP Foundation. Attendees can also expect surprise special guests at the event.

For more information about the event and details on upcoming activities (along with more thrilling surprises!) from the Alan R. Pearlman Foundation, visit their website and subscribe to their newsletter, ARPEGGIO, and follow them on Facebook.

To join in on the festivities, Cherry Audio is staging an event of its own: our Centennial Celebration Sale featuring the instruments and module bundles inspired by the genius of Alan R. Pearlman, many at their lowest prices ever! This sales event starts now and lasts all through June.

Additionally, when you make a purchase from the Cherry Audio store, you will have the opportunity to donate to the Alan R. Pearlman Foundation. Your contributions will help support their efforts to make his innovative inventions publicly accessible and inspire future generations to imagine and create.

Included and on sale through June 30th are:

  • Pro Soloist Synthesizer - regularly $49, now $29 (40% off) - Featuring the precision-crafted and circuit-modeled DSP designs of award-winning developer Mark Barton, Cherry Audio's Pro Soloist goes far beyond emulating the treasured, preset-based monophonic analog synth originally released by ARP in 1972.

  • Vintage Vibes for Pro Soloist - regularly $9.99, now $4.99 (50% off) - An additional 100 presets by sound designer James Dyson showcasing more of Pro Soloist’s use of touch sensors and aftertouch, modulation, splits and layers, outstanding arps, atmospheric pads, stunning sound effects, basses, keys, and leads, and brass.

  • VM2500 Collection for Voltage Modular - regularly $49, now $29 (40% off) - Cherry Audio and MRB collaborated to deliver the unique module features, stunning sound quality, and overall user experience of the rare and classic ARP 2500 synthesizer to the Voltage Modular platform. All 18 modules originally produced for the ARP 2500 system have been recreated in perfect detail, as well as a couple that were planned but never produced (including a full-function oscilloscope and a spring reverb), and a mixer module that never existed, but should have!

  • Quadra Synthesizer - regularly $49, now $29 (40% off) - Quadra is a super-accurate and immensely improved emulation of the ARP Quadra synthesizer, originally released in 1978 - a rare and coveted “unicorn” instrument in the synthesizer world, reproduced for the first time as a virtual instrument. Quadra introduces improvements throughout every section, bringing out the full potential of the original ARP design.

  • Vintage Voice Bundle for Voltage Modular - regularly $39, now $19 (50% off) - Vintage Voice comes with SynthVoice, SynthVoice Filter, DCO-60, VCF-60, and Chorus-60 modules. SynthVoice is a complete semi-modular vintage synthesizer that's like having a classic ARP 2600 synthesizer in your modular rack. SynthVoice Filter puts the brute power of SynthVoice's multi-mode filter into a separate module.

  • CA2600 Synthesizer - regularly $29, now $19 (35% off) - CA2600 is a powerful, self-contained duophonic synthesizer inspired by the groundbreaking ARP 2600 synthesizer. Every aspect of the original, from the quirky oscillator waves, to the powerful ladder filter, to the external audio input and preamp section was modeled with tremendous precision. Though it features similar functionality, it’s been thoughtfully updated for increased flexibility - with semi-normalled patch cabling, integrated effects, and no hidden windows or menus in the audio path.

Seize this incredible opportunity to experience all of these classic ARP-inspired instruments and modules to make your own centennial celebration! This limited-time offer comes with substantial savings, so don’t miss out. Plus, show your support by donating to the Alan R. Pearlman Foundation at checkout and help make a difference!
