Syntaur Sounds for ESQ-1 - FREE Presets!

Our latest video features Sam Mims, founder of Syntaur, who shares the origins of his company and his experience with the Ensoniq ESQ-1 synthesizer. Based in New Braunfels, Texas, Syntaur specializes in selling synthesizer parts and refurbishing vintage gear.

Sam's journey started with the Ensoniq Mirage sampler and ESQ-1, leading him to design and sell Syntaur Soundsets for various Ensoniq products in the 80s and 90s. Don’t miss his insights on the ESQ-1’s intuitive programming, the exceptional combination of wavetable sounds and analog filters, and the resulting sonic character that cannot be easily replicated elsewhere.

In addition, Cherry Audio is introducing Syntaur Sounds for ESQ-1, a new and free collection of Cherry Audio presets featuring the sounds created by Sam back in the 80s for his Syntaur Soundsets line of patch collections.

There were four Soundsets, each with four banks of 10 sounds, and they have been collected for a total of 160 presets compatible with Cherry Audio's ESQ-1 virtual synthesizer instrument. Now, you can add the entire Syntaur Soundsets collection of patches to your Ensoniq ESQ-1 by Cherry Audio at no cost!

Please note that these presets require ownership of Ensoniq ESQ-1 by Cherry Audio. Like the factory presets, they do not utilize any of the additional features found in the software version, such as effects and sequences. They are 100% accurate to the original hardware and the original sounds, providing a nostalgic experience and serving as a perfect starting point for you to refine them to your taste.
