A new toy from Cherry Audio is always fun. Plus, we're celebrating the centennial of the founder of ARP synthesizers, Alan R. Pearlman. This new synth is a monster version of the ARP Odyssey, a classic 70's synthesizer that has been used by just about everybody. I wrote a little tune for it that uses 16 instances of the plugin. All noises, drums and all are being produced by the ODC. After the song, I go into a bit of the history of the Odyssey, and talk about all the very cool new features packed into this version.

I cover the Chris Isaak song using only the ODC 2800. All sounds, including drums and effects were created with the ODC. Music performed and arranged by Bill Wolfer.

Further explorations of Cherry Audio's brilliant emulation of the ARP Odyssey synthesizer. I set up two generic patches from scratch, just to get the feel of it, and then I see how horrible I can make it sound with a patch that evokes failed brake drums, out of control guitar feedback, and the smell of scorched engine oil. I deliberately tried to make the wheels come off this sucker. It's called WAKING THE DEMON, and is not for the faint of heart. Thanks for watching.
