Mike Martin introduces Cherry Audio's Pentaphonic synthesizer, a virtual instrument plugin that revives the ultra-rare polyphonic hybrid synthesizer originally developed by Gleeman Instruments in 1981. With fewer than 70 units ever produced, this synthesizer is legendary for its rich tone, distinctive design, and pioneering sequencing capabilities. This emulation faithfully reproduces the lush sound of its digitally controlled oscillator (DCO) and analog-filter architecture while capturing the visual essence of the synthesizer "made to be seen, not just heard."
Cherry Audio has taken its capabilities to new heights with expanded polyphony, expressive performance, polyphonic and parameter sequencing, and a library of studio-quality effects. Our visual makeover offers a choice of stunning designs inspired by the various looks it sported during its brief existence.
