Join musician Peter Gagli of The Sampleist as he explores the sounds of Spirit, both in and outside of a DAW.
Cherry Audio has returned with another one of their special presentations of a classic historical synthesizer. The Crumar Spirit was designed by none other than Bob Moog - Yup, THAT Bob Moog as well as two other members of the Moog design team.
First released in 1983 this Italian classic was produced in a run of about 100 units which had a definite limitation on the number of artists who had access to purchase one. The synth was so rare that there isn’t even a list of notable artists although it’s rumored that Jean-Michel Jarre own one but then doesn’t he own one of everything? Cherry Audio has given the synthesizer its usual upgrades and brought it up to a very modern set of capabilities while maintaining the vintage ethos of the original unit. The sound is truly a one for one comparison with the original hardware. As always, the team of sound designers has created some excellent patches to accompany the originals found on the Crumar Spirit. Please join Peter Gagliardi as he dives into this sonic recreation.
