Along the way, we’ll touch on the fascinating history of the Wasp synthesizer, created by British engineer Chris Huggett and Adrian Wagner. Despite its low price and plastic build, the Wasp went on to influence a generation of UK electronic musicians including members of Duran Duran, The Stranglers, Throbbing Gristle, and Eurythmics. Huggett’s later innovations—like the OSCar and Novation BassStation—cemented his legacy as one of the most important synth designers in the UK.
