A new prog rock album with vocalist Michael Sadler (of SAGA) and drummer Todd Sucherman (of Styx) also features Beat Zimmerman's work with Cherry Audio's Rhodes Chroma, Memorymode, P-10, and GX-80 synthesizers. The first single is "The Prison Within" (above), which was just followed-up with "I Regret" (below).
In 2024, Swiss keyboardist, composer and producer Zimmerman teamed up with a group of world-class musicians as Unicorn Umbrellas for Every Picture Tells a Story. The release features nine original compositions, available as limited edition CD or LP in the shop or on all streaming platforms. “The songs blend my fusion influences with my prog-rock roots. I’m thrilled with the phenomenal musicians involved—they’re doing an outstanding job,” Beat shared. The project features Michael Sadler (SAGA) on vocals, Todd Sucherman (Styx) on drums, Zlatko Perica (ex-Tangerine Dream) on guitars, René Maurer on bass, and Beat Zimmermann on keyboards/production.
